Competition Levels
- NOVICE LEVEL: This is for dancers who take technical classes 1-2 hours or less a week. This level is for recreational and beginner level dancers and/or those with little to no experience who may be competing for the first time. Dancers with TWO or more solos must enter at the Intermediate or Advanced Level.
- INTERMEDIATE LEVEL: This is for students who take technical classes between 2-4 hours per week. This includes weekly practice time in addition to classes.
- ADVANCED LEVEL: This is for dancers who take technical classes 5 hours per week or more and is open to any and all participants. If a dancer’s skill level is at a true advanced level, they should be entered at the advanced level regardless of the number of hours taken per week.
It is important to note that dancers will be competing at the level their studio signed up with – Level placements CANNOT be changed the day of the competition.
